DALLAS, Oct 31, 2001 / FW/ — Born in Israel of French-Morrocan parents, Yigal Azrouel moved to New York when he was 22 to pursue his dream of fashion design. He started as a couture and wedding dress designer and became adept with working on intricate detailing lavish designs.
With a keen eye for detail and a master of draping and fit, Yigal Azrouel launched his own label under his name. His signature trademark is soft, feminine clothes that are sexy, modern and elegant.
Azrouël is still known best as a self-taught, expert draper. His designs are always modern and fresh, with attention to detail and an element of surprise.
He debuted at 7th on Sixth during the Fall 2000 season.
