Empire State Building Shines in Celebration of Fashion Week

NEW YORK, Sep 4, 2007 / FW/ — The Empire State Building, one time the tallest building in the world, is as iconic as New York City itself when it comes to fashion. This morning, IMG Fashion Senior Vice President, Fern Mallis along with Supermodels Alek Wek & Sasha Pivovarova, designer Tracy Reese and Drew Slaven of Mercedes-Benz USA kicked of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with the ceremonial lighting of the iconic building.

The fashionable faction pulled ceremonial light switch that illuminated the lights of the large Empire State Building model in the lobby to show how the Empire State Building tower will glow orange, purple and red on the night of September 4th in honor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week slated in Bryant Park from September 5-12, 2007.
