MILAN, Jan 11, 2008 / FW/ — Gianfranco Ferré S.p.A continues its expansion with the signing of a licensing agreement with Via Mazzini Srl for the manufacturing of the Gianfranco Ferré women’s lingerie and beachwear. The new accord is expect to develop and expand Ferré’s market positiong in the aforementioned product categories.

“The success perspectives in this area are guaranteed by the synergy between the specific professional know how of Via Mazzini and the support that Gianfranco Ferré can give to the production processes and the market positioning,” commented Michela Piva, CEO of Gianfranco Ferré SpA in a statement.

Meanwhile, John Galliano has announced the launch of a John Galliano fine jewelry line next year under a licensing agreement with Valente. Twenty-five pieces of the new jewelry line will debut next year at the Basel Trade Fair.

According to news reports, a tentative name for the line is ‘John Galliano Limited Edition’, though it has not been officially confirmed.

“We are very proud to be working with an icon in the world of fashion, and we believe that this partnership will lead us to develop unique collections of jewelry, particularly with the search for precious metals and stones,” said Marco Valente, president of the Valente Group in a statement.
