NEW YORK, Sep 27, 2008 / FW/ — Celebrated Scottish-born designer Jonathan Saunders has gained a loyal following from both sides of the Atlantic with a fresh take on color blocking knitwear and clean-line silhouettes.

Initially a print designer, Sunders offers chic, one-of-a-kind prints that are technically impressive while also modern and wearable.

Saunders graduated from the Glasgow School of Art in 1999 with a BA in Printed Textiles and from the acclaimed Central Saint Martin’s in 2002 with an MA in printed textiles with distinction.

His expertise in print design awarded Saunders the 2002 Lancôme Colour Award upon graduating. Saunders debuted his eponymous collection during London Fashion Week in September 2003 to rave reviews and first showed at New York Fashion Week in February 2008.

Saunders was most recently appointed creative director of Pollini, one of the top fashion houses in Milan, in which he will oversee ready-to-wear while still designing for his namesake collection.
