MILAN, Oct 1, 2008 / FW/ — Two names that is invariably linked with the sea; Marina Yachting for its maritime clothing, a venture that was started by Nicolo Gavino in 1878 and Perini Navi, builder of large sailing yachts, founded in 1982 by Fabio Perini.
A century apart in terms of age, but they share their love for the sea. Pioneers in their chosen scope; and always accepting challenges ahead, Marina Yachting and Perini Navi are in the annals of seafaring history.
Their collaboration is a match made in heaven, Marina Yachting creating a menswear and a womenswear collection for ship owners and crew that Perini Navi clients and their staff would surely fall in love with.
Offering basic clothing items for sailing from windbreaker jacket to sailor tees, the gray steel template dominates the collection for the ship owners while the blue one for the crew. The only concession to graphics is the Marina Yachting logo.
Part of the agreement, the management and staff at the Perini Navi shipyard in Viareggio will be sporting the new collection by Marina Yachting. Expect to see Perini Navi and Marina Yachting together during social events in various places around the globe.
Also, starting this year, the management and staff at Porto Rotondo and Portofino docks will also be wearing Marina Yachting as the label continue to establish an indissoluble bond between places, histories and emotions.
