NEW YORK, Dec 4, 2008 / FW/ — A respected New York jeweler 1907, Kwiat Diamonds created the Decades Collection to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Unveiled to the public just in time for the Holiday season, the collection consists of 10 pieces, each piece symbolizing every decade since Kwiat’s foundation.

From the 1907 Tiara to the 2007 headpiece, each earring, necklace, and ring is Simply Brilliant, making it the perfect holiday gift for your significant other and/or someone very special.

Though the Decades Collection epitomizes Kwiat’s artistry and craftsmanship, it is still just one of the many collections being offered by the New York-based jeweler. From the Kwiat star to Diamond Strings and Kwiat Blooms, the company stands behind every -piece of jewelry that comes out of their atelier.

After all, the art of jewelry making had been handed from father to son since Sam Kwiat founded the company during the early 1900s. Sam’ son David, joined his father in the family business when he was only 17. In turn, David’s two sons, Sheldon and Lowell, joined Kwiat during the 1970s. Today, Sam’s great grandchildren lead the way for Kwiat.

Sam Kwiat pioneered the creation of one-of-a-kind jewelry in the family business. His son David specialized in wedding bands and introduced Kwiat Diamonds from coast to coast by creating the first diamond jewelry catalog.

David’s two sons, Sheldon and Lowell, saw great potential in their business, and launched a consumer line under the Kwiat brand name. The Kwiat “Simply Brilliant” tagline continues to be seen in the top national fashion magazines.

And to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary, Sam Kwiat’s great grand children, opened a 1,000 square-foot flagship store at 725 Madison Avenue in New York. A “jewel box” of a boutique, the company’s Madison Avenue location showcases the wide variety of Kwiat’s diamond jewelry collections, with pieces ranging from $2,500 to $1 million and up.

The collection offers everything from classic studs to extraordinary one-of-a-kind pieces frequently seen on Hollywood’s red carpet. Halle Berry, Teri Hatcher, Natalie Portman and Hilary Swank have all been seen wearing Kwiat diamonds.
