LOS ANGELES, Dec 31, 2008 / FW/ — Sarah Palin might have lost the election, but U.S. adults would like most to be neighbors with the Governor of Alaska, according to a survey conducted by Harris Interactive and commissioned by real estate website Zillow.com
Narrowly edging out Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Palin garnered 14% of the vote, compared to Winfrey’s 13%. Michael Phelps and Hollywood’s hottest couple, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie are tied at 9%. Another surprise on the list is Sarah Palin impersonator Tina Fey also made it on the top 10, on a 3-way tie at 9%.
For the second year in a row, pop star Britney Spears was voted as the worst celebrity neighbor. Adults do not like having the paparazzi around, which also explained why David and Victoria “Posh” Beckham only received 2% of the votes for the Most Desirable Neighbor.
As for the Least Desirable Celebrity Neighbors, it seems that those who are either tabloid fodder and/or receive lots of negative publicity made the list. With Britney Spears on top, she is followed by Rosie O’Donnell, Joe the Plumber, Lindsay Lohan, Adam “Pacman” Jones, Eliot Spitzer, Spencer & Heidi and Paula Abdul.
