MILAN, Jan 22, 2009 / FW/ — Toning down his usual uber exuberant shows, John Richmond in a very rare moment went for the basics as he proposed functional coats, tuxedos and jackets for Fall 2009.
A very neutral color palette of black, white and different washes of gray, John Richmond put metallic inserts on shoulders and lapels just to give that signature rock & roll feel he is known for. Jacquard, silk and fur, the John Richmond chap might have toned down several notches but he is as cool as ever.
The interesting thing about this collection is that John Richmond might be chosen to be on a somber mood, but this is a very hot selection of pieces that quite frankly is timeless and will stay in a man’s wardrobe for a long time.
