NEW YORK, Jan 28, 2009 / FW/ — Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin has joined forces with Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf to support emerging designers. In a highly anticipated catwalk show, 8 young designers will present their work on the runway in front of buyers, media and other fashion experts and two will be named winners of the Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf Designer for Tomorrow Award.

The winners will receive a tailor-made sponsoring program. Peek & Cloppenburg KG Düsseldorf will provide them with their very own mentor, who will introduce them to the fashion world. Also they will be given an initial contract, to be managed independently by the designers.

Another unique characteristic of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin Autumn/Winter 2009 is the homecoming of German designers.
