Carlos Miele Fall 2009
Carlos Miele Fall 2009

NEW YORK, Feb 20, 2009 / FW/ — Being currently based at New York’s Meatpacking district had given Carlos Miele a creative edge. Known already of his glamorous and sultry gowns, the Brazilian designer had added the distinctive New York edgy sophistication and thus creating a new facet to his signature style.

With black as the predominant color, Carlos Miele chose bronze, grey and gold for his color palette. Emphasizing the waist, the silhouettes are figure hugging. But, with Miele’s new design aesthetics, he went for understated elegance instead of his usual sexy and sultry.

And the result, a very appreciative audience that loved his new direction, including the details like boleros and geometric prints. Another plus for this collection, background music was a live guitar solo from Brazil´s Max de Castro.
