Little Marvin Heart Transplants

LOS ANGELES, Feb 1, 2009 / FW/ — In an era of twitter and instant messaging, Little Marvin bravely goes beautifully low-tech by proposing to wear your heart 365 days a year with Heart Transplants patches on your sleeves, your favorite T-shirt, bags or jeans.

With the mantra “Love. More. Now.” Little Marvin’s Heart Transplants breathe fresh new life into the 60’s era patches of the Love Generation with their iconic heart shape, disco-gold shimmer and intricate hand-stitched detail.

Sold as a set of two, each twin Heart Transplants come with a “storybook” packaging which opens easily to reveal the two hand-stitched hearts inside, one for the giver and one for the receiver. There is also a place to write secret note to the one you love.

An individual needle and thread (one set for each heart) makes it easy for both giver and receiver to sew on their hearts. For fast ‘heart transplants,’ there is also a shipping envelope included.

How did the Heart Transplants begin?

It was born out of a tragedy. The CEO of Little Marvin began designing the Heart Transplants after a beloved family member was caught in the crossfire of the recent Mumbai terrorist attacks.

“We are blessed that she made it through safely”, he says, “But that unexpected tragedy certainly hammered the message home: Love. More. Now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Right now.”

Little Marvin urges people to wear their Heart Transplants on their sleeves, but, he says, “… this is Love after all. Everyone has a little baggage to put it on too.”

Heart Transplants (Single Heart: $20/ Twin Heart: $40) will be available on Feb. 7th at www.littlemarvin.com and at stores nationwide.
