MADRID, Mar 28, 2009 / FW/ — The end of a decade. It attracts me inexplicably. This blend of interesting, undefined styles which women wear with disconcerting naturalness.
Now that this decade is drawing to a close, I take a nostalgic look at others: the disco era, featuring sophisticated night owls; the androgynous but emphatic silhouette of the 40s, and the peculiar elegance of gospel ladies.
Gold, asymmetrical shapes, braids, black and white, feminine, feathers, voiles, whiskey, Vichy velatures with organza, jewel-glasses, sequins, navy, wool crepes, safe… exquisite. It is a message saying let yourself be loved.
