Marni Fall 2009

MILAN, Mar 4, 2009 / FW/ — After seeing the 1980s influence from New York and all the way here to Milan, Consuelo Castiglione’s sweet and modern collection was like a breath of fresh air.

A tunic in square graphics that could pull double duty as a coat dress or just as a coat; silver trellis on a sweater that was matched with an A-line skirt and traveling cape; a sheath dress with a matching coat – all of them were accessorized with chunky flower necklaces.

Fur was also proposed – as a jacket or as gloves, even as part of the sleeves. Fur gloves are a very interesting concept though the wearer might have problems holding a grip. Well, we can forget the engineering as of now and tackle that later.

Consuelo Castiglione delivered a winning collection once again.
