Just Cavalli and Morgan

MILAN, Apr 20, 2009 / FW/ — Returning to his rock & roll roots, Roberto Cavalli via his youthful line Just Cavalli is collaborating with video artist Felice Limosani and hot Italian singer Morgan for a vernissage evening where fashion, video art and music are the central elements.

On April 22nd, during the 48th edition of Salone del Mobile, the Just Cavalli boutique in Milan will unveil the latest music video ‘Il Mio Mondo’ of Morgan, the Italian top star of the year, and supreme judge of the TV show X Factor.

The ‘Il Mio Mondo’ which is also Morgan’s latest single and which was co-produced by Just Cavalli is just one of the two collaborations that the artist is doing with Just Cavalli. Together with Roberto Cavalli, Morgan designer eight looks for the Just Cavalli line which he wore during all the X Factor show episodes.

With the X Factor also being made into animation, Morgan’s character will virtually model all these looks in the cartoon.

The plot of the animated film will centre on Morgan’s love of the Earth. The singer will travel through a post-industrial and desolate environment, arriving in a fantasy land where green fields and nature interact with him, creating a symbiosis between the protagonist and the Earth.

The collaboration between the Just Cavalli brand and Morgan, launched in September 2008 and further reinforced by the creation of this collection of high fashion men’s clothing, manifests itself in a new artistic manner that incorporates music.

The experimental style and ‘glamour’ of the Just Cavalli collection, allied to Morgan’s talent, create clothes based on the wardrobe of a “timeless dandy”. From 17th Century Flemish paintings and traditional elements of aristocratic garments from the 19th Century, to the dream-like “Glam Rock” look of the 1970s, the Just Cavalli clothes collection for Morgan fully respected the innovative and “avant-garde” look of the young fashion line from Maison Cavalli.
