NEW YORK, Apr 23, 2009 / FW/ — Introduced during the 68th edition (2003) of Pitti Immagine Uomo, Luigi Bianchi Mantova of the legendary Italian menswear house Lubiam is named after the maison’s founder Luigi Bianchi who is originally from the Italian province of Mantova.

A master tailor who started learning his craft when he was 16 years old, Luigi Bianchi founded Lubiam in 1911, which up to today, after three generations remains a family company. Renowned for his sartorial expertise, it is only fitting to one of the maison’s labels after Luigi Bianchi.

For the past 200 years, Loro Piana’s main business is wool and cashmere. From its famous Italian mills, Loro Piana invented the Storm System membrane barrier to the elegance of their wool, cashmere and other fine fabrics.

Windproof and water resistant while at the same time, a fabric that is breathable, the Loro Piana Storm System is made via a patented treatment that creates an invisible barrier that causes water to bead away from the fabric and protect from dust, dirt and liquid stains.

From this fabric, Luigi Bianchi Mantova created its own version of the Loro Piana Storm System Jacket, the perfect spring jacket.

Proposed in navy blue in a military-inspired silhouette as seen in the epaulet and the buckled collar, the Loro Piana Storm System Jacket by Luigi Bianchi Mantova is for the globetrotting young man who blends well in every city he visits.

Loro Piana Storm System Jacket by Luigi Bianchi Mantova – a great addition to any man’s wardrobe.
