The Viridi-Anne Fall 2009

PARIS, Apr 22, 2009 / FW/ — Like in fashion, inspiration can come anywhere in visual merchandising. And by a simple twist of fate, visual merchandising is actually getting inspiration from the Viridi-Anne Fall 2009 / Winter 2010 presentation that was held last January at the Galerie here in Paris.

With the theme of the collection inspired by the process of change in the natural world – metamorphosis wherein the designer tried to show via clothing the development in form from Embryo to Imago and the part of the process the designer finds the most interesting, the Chrysalis, lights and the functional accordion tube usually used in vacuum cleaners and clothes dryers were enlisted to make a dramatic display.

With change and evolution as the focal point, not just for the collection being shown, but also for the brand itself, the metaphor of metamorphosis was demonstrated by using these lighted accordion tubes as clothes hangers and also for a 3-D effect.

The result, a very dramatic display with a very positive aura as it signifies growth and change in the most beautiful way imaginable, the same way we see the transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfuly.
