DUBAI, May 9, 2009 / FW/ — After almost 6 months delay, Roberto Cavalli is proud to announce the opening of the Cavalli Club, a unique place for relaxation and enjoyment that offers a very innovative schedule of light lunch, lunch, aperitif, pre-dinner, dinner and disco set; truly catering to the guests and allowing the experience of a luxury Club from day to night, in true Cavalli style.

Originally scheduled to open last November 2008, the delay just heightened the expectations, intrigue and excitement as Cavalli Club located at the prestigious Fairmont Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai hosted a spectacular VIP party hosted by the designer, Thursday, May 7th 2009.

Roberto Cavalli is no stranger to Dubai’s fashion and luxury lifestyle which he describes as “One of the most exciting, fast growing and vibrant cities in the Middle East, making it the perfect place to launch my new lifestyle club concept.”

“Cavalli Club is a totally unique space for people to socialize shop and eat in extravagant and opulent surroundings – the architecture, furnishings, and the interiors effuse luxury and exclusivity; each area in the space creates an atmosphere rich with exciting shapes, structures, and precious materials. This is my first club in the Middle East and I am extremely proud to be hosting the official opening of this exciting new venue in Dubai.” Cavalli said.

Launched in conjunction with Pragma Group (the experts behind Dubai’s 400 and Kitsune) Cavalli Club will bring a whole new lifestyle concept to Dubai, with every element in true Cavalli style, from the walls adorned with Swarovski crystals to the shiny black quartz floor, and of course his signature animal print will adorn furnishings throughout the club.

On the top floor of Cavalli Club there is an Italian restaurant offering an exquisite menu using the finest Italian ingredients, and a sushi bar where guests can recline on sofas in front of low tables.

Parallel to the restaurant is a lounge bar that offers a chic and trendy environment for those wanting to try some exotic light food including wonderfully decadent caviar. In this area, guests can listen to hypnotic rhythms mixed by the best international DJs.

On the ground floor, a grand entrance hall leads to a boutique that offers a speciality line of very selective luxury products from jewlery to designer dinner-ware, luxury chocolates, as well as anything else you might experience and like in the club.

The Cavalli Club welcomed carefully selected guests, VIPs, social people and international celebrities, to witness and join in the celebration of the opening. Celebrities included: Virginie Ledoyen, who wore a Just Cavalli peach color satin dress; Elsa Pataki, wore a Roberto Cavalli ‘crochet’ dress; Anna Falchi wore a Just Cavalli black silk dress with crystals details; Dayana Mendoza (Miss Universe) wore a Just Cavalli ‘animalier’ printed silk dress; Estelle wore a Roberto Cavalli chiffon silk printed dress; and the Middle East pop star Elissa wore a Roberto Cavalli black silk dress with plissé details.

An exclusive gala dinner was held in the Italian restaurant of Cavalli Club, followed by top singer Estelle performing exclusively for Mr. Cavalli’s guests.

During dinner, the guests had the opportunity to taste the superlative red wine from Maison Cavalli : “Cavalli Tenuta degli Dei” produced by Tommaso Cavalli, son of Roberto Cavalli (who also attended the event) in his gorgeous vineyard in Panzano in Chianti, Tuscany.

After dinner, the super DJ Claude Challe made the 1,000 guests dance all night long, while they sipped excellent cocktails mixed with Cavalli Vodka.
