MILAN, Sep 26, 2009 / FW/ — A different take on the Victor/Victoria concept, Brioni mixed mannish clothing with feminine silhouettes that culminated in a travel theme.

Brioni Spring 2010

Opening with a model wearing an all beige summer travel clothes – high-waisted pleated shorts cuffed at the hem and a suit jacket-inspired coat, both of which appear to be borrowed from the male wardrobe, the look was immediately softened by a scarf blouse that was draped carelessly on the bodice.

This masculine/ feminine take will be seen throughout the collection, exemplified by the boxer shorts inspired silk shorts that are usually paired with blouses with shawl collars.

It was also seen on the soft silhouettes of the balloon skirts, enriched with cascading braces that give them a totally new kind of movement that are paired with taffeta blouses, while the trousers gathered round the ankles are accompanied by organza tops with men’s fabrics.
