Gottex Introduces new Head of Design Molly Grad

DALLAS, Sep 1, 2009 / FW/ — On Sep 14th, Molly Grad debuts on the New York runway as she unveils her Spring / Summer 2010 vision for Gottex, the international swimwear brand known for its very sexy yet also very functional silhouettes.
An alumnus of the famed Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design where she received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees, Molly Grad was named Head of Design at Gottex last June, replacing Gideon Oberson who left the company the month before “to pursue other interests.”
Grad comes to Gottex with an impressive résumé. She began her fashion career working with Stella McCartney and then continued honing her design skills under Stefano Pilati at Yves Saint Laurent. Prior to Gottex, Grad held the title Senior Designer at Gianfranco Ferré.
“Gottex has an amazing heritage. I am going to take the DNA of the brand and give it a fresh direction without forsaking its incredible past,” commented Grad about her forthcoming Spring 2010 collection, which is also her first for the brand.
