MILAN, Sep 24, 2009 / FW/ — If I were from the U.S. Bible Belt, I would have described the Just Cavalli show as blasphemous; and thank goodness I’m just your typical city girl who found the words “I’ve just been touched by Cavalli” and “Heal the world, make it a Cavalli place” humorous albeit with a dark touch.

Just Cavalli Spring 2010

Roberto Cavalli has been known to speak his mind and today, he did just that with the Just Cavalli Spring 2010 collection as his medium, with the subliminal message that Just Cavalli is the true religion when it comes dressing.

So, what has he brought to the altar? Barely-there chiffon dresses and frocks, with bras worn over black satin tops, shirts and t-shirts for a very femme rock are the order of the day.

Layering is the key, but this time it is more of just overlapping garments as Cavalli mixed texture and colors to create interest. Watch out for the fringe too! They are back with a vengeance.

And finally, denim jeans that are cut pencil thin which are embroidered with metallic thread or just slashed at the right places to be “mended” with embroidery.

Calling it cool will be an understatement. And to use a phrase from Gen X, this collection will rock your world.
