Devota & Lomba Spring 2010: The Chemistry of Fashion
MADRID, Oct 21, 2009 / FW/ — With water as the muse, Devota & Lomba went into the molecular level and used its hexagonal shape to as part of the silhouettes.
Water, broken down into molecular level is two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen and a graphical representation of an ice crystal (solid water) looks like a repetitive, complex and unique hexagonal shapes. (see illustration).
Water, the source of life on earth; it is also renewed constantly by planet earth, including humans who are part of the cycle.
Devota & Lomba did not set out its collection to be philosophical; but in the light of the mixing science and fashion, and with the world’s preoccupation with renewable energy, the catwalk has once again become a platform for tenets and principles.
