PARIS & RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct 26, 2009 / FW/ — Riccardo Tisci just raised the coolness factor of Givenchy at Oi Fashion Rocks. Held in Rio de Janeiro last October 24th at the grounds of the legendary Jockey Club in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Givenchy shared the stage with singer and model Ciara.
Ciara, whose first single “Goodies” hit #1 on Billboard performed during the Givenchy Fall 2009 runways presentation, celebrating Creative Director Riccardo Tisci at the end of her performance.
Oi Fashion Rocks – which was presented for the first time in Brazil – assembled an impressive roster of international and Brazilian designers and performers, for a star-studded evening of performances to honor the extraordinary relationship between fashion and music.
The evening was hosted by Fernanda Lima and the pairings of fashion brands and musical acts included Mariah Carey and Calvin Klein Collection; Grace Jones and Marc Jacobs; P. Diddy and Versace; Ciara and Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci; Estelle and Lenny; Stop Play Moon and Alexandre Herchcovitch; Wanessa with JaRule and André Lima; and Daniela Mercury and Lino Vilaventura.
