Lublu K. Plastinina Spring 2010MILAN, Oct 11, 2009 / FW/ — As part of the cooperation between Russian Fashion Week and Camera Moda, Russian label LUBLU K. Plastinina under the creative direction of its founder Kira Plastinina, unveiled its Spring 2010 collection last September 29 during Milan Fashion Week.

Entitled “Dreams about Africa,” Kira Plastinina created a complicated image built on a contrast. Inspired by beauty and harmony of the continent’s ethnic costumes, Plastinina depicted ritual masks and headwear by employing prints and draping.

Using feathers, fringe, costume jewelries, natural fabrics like silk and cotton, Plastinina created kaftans, leggings that can be worn as trousers, layered frocks and one-shoulder sheath dresses and used Swarovski crystals to create elegant accents like dragonfly appliqués.

Subdued hues of blue, yellow, sandy, and white that is reminiscent of the hot African sun, barchans and nomads clothes.

Kira Plastinina is the youngest designer of Russian and international fashion-space, who got recognition of fashion world professionals. Kira knows for sure what young and accomplished women want to wear, and in her line LUBLU K.
