Ricardo Andrez Spring 2010MADRID, Oct 19, 2009 / — A youth who recently arrived in the metropolis, with his ideas and ideals, where his dreams bubble and run through his veins is the is Ricardo Andrez’s muse for his Spring 2010 collection that is aimed at sportive and street wear universes.

With the goal of creating a fusion of urban vs. traditional references, Andrez used traditional cottons in men’s shirts to 100% cotton sweaters, which contrast with the selection of new materials.

Relaxed fit plaid trousers are interspersed with solids and striped pants. There are ethnic references to the Spanish and Portuguese cultures, which interestingly enough fits well within the street wear category.

Born and raised in Porto, Portugal, 28-year old Ricardo Andrez thinks of fashion the same time that he is thinking of the “body” and it is from this perspective that he explores silhouettes.

Using the male wardrobe as a topic for research, Andrez created his own label in the year of 2006. Since then, he has reinterpreted the world of sport or street wear, a colorful, structured, healthy universe.
