LONDON, Oct 23, 2009 / — 44 Inch Chest, Tales From the Golden Age and Father of My Children’ (’Le père de mes enfants’) might not have George Clooney’s star power and his girlfriend’s Elisabetta’s pull on the paparazzi, but they are still of great interest to movie critics and movie goers.

44 Inch Chest, Tales From the Golden Age and Father of My Children were all shown during the recently concluded BFI London Film Festival.

Scheduled to be released this December in the UK, “44 Inch Chest” is an offbeat gangster / crime movie about a jealous husband and his friends who plot the kidnapping of the wife’s lover with the intention of restoring the husband’s wounded ego.

More drama than violence is shown on screen; the violence left for the audience’s imagination makes this movie very cerebral. Outstanding performances by Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Tom Wilkinson and Ian McShane make “44 Inch Chest” a must-see for serious moviegoers.

For those who follow the film festival, Father of My Children’ (’Le père de mes enfants’) does not need any introduction. A 2009 French drama film directed by Mia Hansen-Love, it won the Jury Special Prize in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
