PARIS, Oct 4, 2009 / FW/ — In a high-concept show, Viktor & Rolf showed that fabric, specifically tulle can be a sculptor’s medium and that fashion designers, among other things can also be sculptors.

Viktor & Rolf Spring 2010

Densely packing tightly sheered tulle, and then layering them to the point that they were almost solid blocks, Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren began “sculpting” a salmon floor length gown with a bullet hole and a baby pink gown that featured a staircase to a tight bodice.

True, some of these gown might be hard to wear simply because they weight more than the wearer, but the mini cocktail dresses also in densely packed sheered tulle is something to look forward to next spring.
