agent_provocateur05NEW YORK, Nov 10, 2009 / FW/ — The invitation itself was very provocative. A woman wearing Agent Provocateur lingerie and knee high stiletto boots was using a military phone complete with the twisted wire with a looming orange sky that looks apocalyptic.

It was an evening of champagne, chocolate and music with the new NYC “it girl” Becka Diamond and fashion icon and Elle Style Director, Kate Lanphear serving as guest DJs on Tuesday, November 4th when Agent Provocateur hosted an evening of lingerie, champagne and chocolate at their Mercer Street boutique.

Attendees perused Agent Provocateur’s new spring/summer 2010 collection, sipped champagne and nibbled on Godiva chocolates while grooving to the tunes of NYC’s latest and greatest DJ duo.

As already have been said here before, “Warning! This collection is not recession friendly.”

In the words of Joe Corre, co-founder of Agent Provocateur last September when this collection was previewed to the press, “Agent Provocateur Soiree is the pinnacle of fantasy and luxury. Made in the couture tradition, it is a collection of the best made, highest quality pieces aimed at a customer for who money is no object and who is looking for something for a special fantasy evening.”

And he is right; the price points may be steep but if you are not a penny pincher, this collection is definitely something to treat yourself with.

Every piece in this collection must get paired with a siren red lip and do not forget about your stilettos. ‘Agent Provocateur Soiree’ is crafted to accentuate, reveal and tease. The collection features lace, silk leather, studs and Swarovski crystals that have no intention of leaving the bedroom.
