MILAN & DUBAI, Nov 2, 2009 / FW/ — Trust Roberto Cavalli to break the mold every time he has a chance. First, he surprised his public when he launched a new “entertainment & night-life” concept called Cavalli Club last May in Dubai. Six months later, he brings Halloween Night to the city with a “Phantom of the Opera” theme.

With the 200 exclusive guests wearing feather and crystal masks exclusively for the event by Roberto Cavalli, the party began the moment you step on the red carpet as a beautiful girl wearing a stunning Roberto Cavalli gown lounged on a sofa at the entrance and smiled at the crowd, representing the protagonist kidnapped in the ‘The Phantom of the Opera’.

On the ground floor, the entrance hall led to a large room with 10 beautiful models wearing gorgeous Roberto Cavalli evening gowns, creating a ‘Tableau Vivant’ to welcome the guests.

On the top floor, the guests which included Gary Dourdan (of the CSI: Crime Scene Investigations fame), Maria Del Alamo and Steven Tyler were offered a gala dinner of traditional Italian recipes at the Cavalli club restaurant.

Dinner tables decorated with Halloween themes matched the Roberto Cavalli signature style: big pumpkins surrounded by autumn leaves were displayed over black and gold Roberto Cavalli table linings covered in crystals.

During the gala dinner, an Opera singer performed some of the most famous lyrics taken from the musical ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, followed by a show of acrobats and drummers.

At midnight all the VIP guests moved into Cavalli privè area which was decorated with animal printed fabrics and pillows; and Gary Dourdan took the stage with his band and performed to the crowd. The 2 live DJ sets then entertained the 3,000 guests until 3 am.

In a class of its own when it comes to nightlife entertainment, the Cavalli Club is designed so that the architecture, furnishings, and the interiors effuse luxury and exclusivity; each area in the space creates an atmosphere rich with exciting shapes, structures, and precious materials.

Black quartz floors shine with crystal dust reflecting light and shape throughout the space while six-meter high walls dripping with 463,000 Swarovski crystals illuminate the room.
