A-lab Milano Fall 2010

BERLIN, Jan 24, 2010 / — For Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2010, Mercedes-Benz presented winners of the FASHION INCUBATOR awards – a project by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and the city of Milan – in Berlin.

In a joint show, A-LAB MILANO, CRISTIANO, PAOLO ERRICO, MAURO GASPERI and CRISTINA MIRALDI will present their designs on 23 January 2010 at 5 p.m. in the official venue on Bebelplatz.

A-lab Milano was founded in October 2006 by a team of young designers (Alessandro Biasi, Andrea Orazi und Simona Costa) all united in their desire to set themselves apart from existing trends.

Paolo Errico presented his first collection in 2005 during Milan Fashion Week, timeless concepts inspired by architecture and design.

Mauro Gasperi’s pure, ethereal style is characterised by geometric cuts and close attention to detail.

Cristiano Burani is one of the most innovative arrivals in Italian fashion, combining creativity and originality with precision and rationality.

And Cristina Miraldi’s collection demonstrates a new femininity derived from the combination of volume, embroidery and deliberate imperfection.

At the third edition of Milan’s FASHION INCUBATOR, held in July 2009, these five design talents were singled out for awards by a top-class jury consisting of Giulia Pirovano (CNMI), Fulvia Visconti Ferragamo (Salvatore Ferragamo), Anne Marie Paltsou (buyer, Saks Fifth Avenue), Christine Ellis (buyer, Bergdorff Goodman) and Danda Santini (Editor-in-Chief ELLE Italy).
