MILAN, Jan 19, 2010 / FW/ — With nomadic as a key style that we constantly see on the catwalk, Massimiliano Giornetti, creative director of Salvatore Ferragamo took the pampas route and focused on the gaucho, the partly nomadic South American cowboys.

Like their North American counterparts, the gauchos move with the herd that they are watching, making them nomadic by profession and a romantic figure by nature. To set the mood for this, the show started with pounding hooves as background music and opened with a model wearing a hat and a long raw leather coat lined with fur that is worn over another coat and matching riding boots.

Oversized scarves that envelope the wearer for warmth and comfort; toggle leather coats with hoods, riding coats and multiple variations of the riding boots, the Salvatore Ferragamo man is a gentlemanly gaucho for Fall 2010.
