DALLAS, Mar 29, 2010 / FW/ — Living up to its name of being a creative laboratory, Montreal’s Laboratorie Creatif is home to the city’s budding design talents that include Anastasia Lomonova, a native of Odessa, Ukraine, who at 26 has already successfully launched her eponymous label.

Trained at Toronto’s Ryerson University, Anastasia Lomonova moved to Montreal after graduation, apprenticing for several of the city’s well-known designers. At 22, she launched her own label.

From the beginning Anastasia felt the pulse of the city’s fashionistas. Her very modern with a touch of traditional coquetry aesthetics captured the attention of the city’s 18 – 49 year age group. In short, Anastasia instinctively understood and was already catering to the core North American demographic.

Armed with her instincts and of course her design talent, she took up residency at the Laboratorie Creatif, renting a small room for her atelier and using Laboratorie Creatif’s fashion lab’s amenities. Two and half years later, her creations are already being sold to several stores in Canada!

For Fall 2010, Anastasia Lomonova stays true to her design philosophy of “true beauty lies within.” The mini dresses might be provocative but never blatant on its sexuality. Easy-to-wear and modern, a true metro girl can add any piece from the this collection to her wardrobe.
