devasteeF001PARIS, Mar 4, 2010 / FW/ — Designer Dévastée kicked off the first full day of shows this season in Paris showing a collection centering on black and white.

Busy graphic prints on wool & cotton dominated the runway with a skull-face and vine motif which was at times minimal or loud depending on the ensemble.

High platform shoes added to the look with various contrasting designs also in black & white. As the show progressed we couldn’t help but notice a nod to the everyday person on the street.

Some models walked down the runway in what could be called ‘nerdy’ glasses similar to what Superman would wear as the everyday but dapper Clark Kent.

Overall the collection was very cohesive. However at times, it seemed the designer may have relied upon graphic prints to complete some ensembles. We look forward to the next offering from Dévastée.
