BANGKOK, Apr 7, 2010 / — Among the Indonesian designers showcasing their unique creations on the main stage of BIFF & BIL 2010 was Handy Hartono, whose pieces exhibited his signature modern take on ethnic Indonesian style using traditional batik fabrics as well as materials made of pineapple fiber.
Also notable were design works featuring traditional Muslim women’s wear using chiffon and Ikat, a local Indonesian cotton fabric.
BIFF & BIL 2010 ASEAN Integration, Textiles – Apparel – Leather, was organized by the Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce of the Royal Thai Government during 1-4 April at the Impact Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi, Thailand.
During the fair, an exciting series of 48 runway shows highlighted ASEAN, Chinese and Japanese fashions ranging from high fashion to ready-to-wear street fashion, sportswear, lingerie, leather goods and fashion accessories.
