NEW YORK, May 25, 2010 / FW/ — AllSaints Spitalfields, the British label known for its directional collections opened a 13,600 square-foot store in Soho to the delight of its ever-growing number of fans which just cannot get enough of the label’s fresh and innovative design.

Located at 512 Broadway, the AllSaints Spitalfields New York offers a full range of accessories and apparel collections for men, women and children.

And like all other AllSaints Spitalfields location, the Soho store has a distinct, individual feel and identity. Impressive store décor details such as wood paneled and steel beamed floors, exposed brick walls, ram skulls and vintage industrial fixtures such as printing presses, looms and Singer sewing machines make the shopping experience at AllSaints unique.

Distinct to the AllSaints Soho are the store fixtures wherein 60% o them are reclaimed artifacts. From remainders of all cast-iron furniture, “new” fixtures were produced using traditional sand-casting method. All other non-vintage fixtures are handmade in the United Kingdom.

A not-to-be-missed visual display is the 13ft cashmere loom located on ground floor built in 1920. This loom was used up until 6 months ago and is sourced from a mill in Sheffield, UK, a hub of the industrial revolution.

A smaller version, yet equally impressive are two 4.5 ft(h) x 10 ft(l) long looms will be located on the cellar level built in 1890

And, for those who have only seen today’s computerized sewing machines, there are 493 vintage sewing machines in the windows and throughout the interior of the store- an AllSaints signature design detail,

The Soho store will have 11 units of the world’s largest Singer sewing machines. These machines originate from Chatham Dockyard, a historical English naval base located in Kent, England. There are approximately 30 of these machines left globally.

Among the light fixtures scattered through the space, the New York City Soho store will feature several search lights recovered from the Suez Canal

Shopper amenities include 22 dressing rooms (12 on ground floor, 10 at cellar level) and 17 cash registers scattered around the store.
