NEW YORK, Jun 17, 2010 / — This summer, Keds the all-American original sneaker brand since 1916 is celebrating the American creative spirit with “Work on Canvas”, a live-action exhibition of the artistic process featuring three emerging artists.

Being held in partnership with Bloomingdale’s and the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Keds “Work on Canvas” competition is open to current MFA students.

Three MFA students will be selected by a panel of experts including: Adam D. Weinberg, Alice Pratt Brown Director of the Whitney Museum of American Art; Jack Hruska, Executive Vice President of Creative Services at Bloomingdale’s; and Kristin Burrows, President of Keds. These three students will be named the official Works on Canvas artists.
