PARIS, Oct 6, 2010 / FW/ — Set in the Académie des Beaux Arts on Paris’ artsy Left Bank, Martin Grant’s sleek Spring 2011 collection was refreshingly feminine and modern. Even with the use of simple shapes and delicate fabrics, Grant’s creations elicited goose-bumps.

The color palette was mostly neutral solids, and a lot of shocking pinks, with the use of bold strips of contrasting colors at the waist or as piping. Leather was also used quite often in trench coats, another classic shape.

To complete each look was a pair of custom-made Christian Louboutin shoes that were perfect compliments to the silhouettes.

Further, Grant followed the trend of color-shock lips by sending each model down the runway with lips that look like they had gotten friendly with a flamingo.
