PARIS, Jan 25, 2011 / FW/ — The Lanvin man this season was effortlessly classic, luxurious, and modern. Lucas Ossendrijver, Lanvin menswear creative director stayed true to the classic ideals of the gentleman, but employed some techniques to remind us we are in 2011.

Just as the music of the show reminded us by switching between hits from retro stars like Olivia Newton John to electro beats. The suave Lanvin models walked the carpeted runway with a nonchalance that exuded class.

The color palette was rich in burgundy, camel, grey, and mustard- especially in the evening wear, for which the silk suits and velvet blazers only heightened the sense of luxury in the collection.

Ossendrijver created pieces that truly explored every shape- from slim-lined suits to the latest trend, wide legged trousers, he even used the iconic Stetson hat in felt and created oversized leather clutches to accessorize.

Also on the Lanvin runway were some key elements of Fall 2011, split lapel jackets, exposed zippers, the trench coat, chunky knits, combat boots, and leather pants.

The Lanvin man is the epitome of modern glamour and casual class this Fall.
