NEW YORK, Feb 25, 2011 / — Inspired by the paintings of Philip Guston, Rolando Santana created a collection that was deep in color and rich in texture for Fall 2011.

Done in wool jersey and wool gauze that was combined with subtle abstract prints, there was a certain mystery that surrounds in an urban kind of way.

Deep colors and textures were translated into soft details, including modern ruffles; asymmetric feminine detailing and understated prints became thematic, and thus lending a sophisticated air. Supple leathers, fox and feathers were used for contrast to create the feel of urban romanticism.
