Talbot Runhof Fall Winter 2011

PARIS, March 11, 2011/FW/– A tale of the unrequited love for a film star teetering between obsession and youthful innocence acted as the inspiration for the Talbot Runhof fall collection, examining the juxtaposition between masculine and feminine, dark and white, draped and tailored.

Except for splashes of rosewood and bordeaux, colors were kept to a minimum palette of black, chocolate, taupe, and smoke, allowing a multitude of lush fabrics to act as the central design obsession.

Striped silk faille and double satin duchesse blended exquisitely with dream-like fabrics such as taroni, a bronze brocade cloque, black wool crepes, striped cotton shirting, and a stretchy georgette dart blouse. The fine material lineup does continue with an array of fabric such as a pure black cashmere maxi dress and a guipure embroidered sequin belted dress.

Must I mention the added quality of voluminous backs and blouson dresses with stunning embroidery? The satin draped slouchy trousers were just as equal as a delight. From the parkas to the rabbit cape and polar fox vest, Talbot Runhof presented a stunning collection for the most esteemed woman of ultra-chic status.
