Carolina Herrera: S/S 2012 Cowboys & Bauhaus

In past seasons up through the present  Ms. Herrera has been experimenting with the use decorative embellishments in her design. For spring she’s taken elements from past experimentations combined with her love of Bauhaus and given us a vision of her world. This was Carolina Herrera at her most chic. Giving her client the flamboyance and elegance they demand. The collection was delivered with a linear flair. Thin blocks of stripes in yellow, green and black. The only nonlinear decorative motif was a sparrow print used for separates and dresses. When asked about the influence of Bauhaus on the line Ms Herrera stated ” I love everything they did in art, in fashion, interiors and colors. It’s not the Thirties.”
