NEW YORK, Sep 8, 2011/ — Kicking off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at the Lincoln Center, Nicholas K sent out a very polished urban collection. Silhouettes show influences from Raf Simons and the famed Belgian looks but the total effect is very New York due to the infusion of the Big Apple attitude.
Always pushing the envelope, Nicholas K continues to gather momentum with each passing season. Nicholas Ks proposal of asymmetrical hemlines be it on mini skirts or mid-calf frocks are sure hits for the twenty-something and thirty-something crowd who likes their fashion edgy but remain on the polished side.
A statement of solid colors, the collection featured sorbet shades of white, beige, green, orange and gray.
