NEW YORK Sept 22, 2011 /FW/-The Mercedes Benz New York fashion week welcomed Norman Ambrose to Lincoln Center  for his second runway debut. Last season’s showing  raised a few eyebrows, but Spring commanded attention. Norman Ambrose presented another successful collection full of garments worthy of endless admirations! Extradinary is what you get when master tailoring and patterning skills are passed down to a naturally talented designer. Norman credits his training to two individuals/mentors  from the house of Balenciaga and Bill Bass.

Reminiscent of sun hitting the Mediterranean; black, platinum and gold were enhanced by dessert shades of coral orange and turquoise for Spring 2012. Metallic painted the collection in suiting separates and trimmed cardigans and dresses. High waist tailored trousers were cut to offer a full body leg. Jackets featured thin lapels and an elongated tuxedo fit. Shift dresses were full of texture and skirts at lady like knee length. Gowns floated down the runway marveled in extravagant handwork and beading. The audience applauded the golden glass bolero that was styled over a gold brocade halter jumpsuit. Dazzeling colorful novelty pieces were the charms of season.  Crowning each look were pieces from the luxury American jewelry design house, Verdura. A very special thing is happening in the world of American luxury fashion and Norman Ambrose is leading the way!

Find the collection in the exclusive salons at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
