NEW YORK, February 12th 2012, Chrisitian Siriano Fall 2012 Runway Show
Christian Siriano’s Fall 2012 runway show was held away from the chaos of Lincoln Center at Eyebeam Studios. Siriano is known for over-the-top extravagance, but this collection was bit more toned down than we are used to. We saw wearable pieces, just above the knee dresses paired with trench coats and blazers. Blacks, grays, silver and maroon were the stars of the show. Chiffon ball gowns paired with leather jackets and even a black dress with an attached cape: the woman as a superhero. Its about time. Bodycon dresses and sheer tops added a sensual element to the show. Christian Siriano’s woman next fall is cool, edgy, and mysterious. Tweed pants, blouses, and fitted pantsuits made a statement. The show came to its climax as the final model walked in a black and sliver evening gown (pictured above) with a fitted mermaid fit and sweetheart neckline. The crowd began to applaud.
