NEW YORK, Oct 12, 2012/ — Korean fashion is taking New York by storm thanks to award-winning stylist and costume designer Patricia Field who hosted and styled the K-Fashion Sensation event introducing two new Korean labels – Morine Comte Marant and Buckaroo Jeans

New York buyers and press in attendance were welcomed by Patricia Field and joined by Robert Verdi, Tom Silverman, Richie Rich, Nary Manivong and The Blonds among others.

Guests enjoyed K-Pop music by KILL THE DJ, Korean hors d’oeuvres, and Korean Soju cocktails. Charli, a famed K-Tech robot, pumped up the crowd with the ever-popular “Gangnam Style” dance.

Patricia Field’s involvement in K-Fashion Sensation stems from her recent visit to Seoul in June. Invited by the Korean Government, Field visited the stores of the two brands, Buckaroo and Morine Comte Marant, and chose them to showcase in New York.

The presentation themed, “Good Girls Love Bad Boys” contrasted Morine Comte Marant’s flirty, feminine style against Buckaroo Jean’s tough, masculine image.

K-Fashion Sensation is sponsored by the Korea Fashion Association, a corporate body established in 1985 under the Ministry of Knowledge Economy with the purpose to advance the Korean fashion industry with approximately 300 total fashion companies.

The Korea Fashion Association has been taking the initiative to protect the rights of our members and promote our members, and strengthen and globalize the competitiveness of the Korean fashion industry.
