NEW YORK, May 7, 2013 /– Last night, The Metropolitan Museum’s annual Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrated the opening of the year’s exhibition, and is the main source of funding for the museum.

This year’s exhibit, PUNK: Chaos to Couture (May 9 – August 14, 2013), examines punk’s impact on high fashion from the movement’s birth in the 1970’s through its continuing influence today.

One of the looks featured in the exhibit is a black felted wool single sleeve cutaway dress from the Fall 2009 Calvin Klein Collection, designed by Mr. Costa.

On display in the show’s D.I.Y. Destroy gallery, the look is paired with a Calvin Klein Collection black velvet open heel pump.
