MILAN, Mar 18, 2004/ FW/ – Fashion and Hawaii, now why has no one thought of this before? In a perfect setting in a perfect place under perfect sunshine and perfect starry nights, forget Paris, Milan and the rain, Xentopia lands.
Elements of Style fashion show and an eight day party for the senses on Waikiki beach in Hawaii is about to explode onto the fashion and television map as one of the places to be seen sipping some coloured coconut cocktail.
Not only will people meet, gather, have a blast and celebrate fashion (and the good news is that most events will be free to the public) to launch a new World Asia cable television network (WATV), the first English language based Asian themed network, but on Wednesday 31st March will take part in a fashion show directly on the beach.
A runway line up featuring some of the most respected and admired Asian American designers currently on the market, including names no less than Zang Toi, Yoehlee and Vivienne Tam among others, all of whom currently show their collections in New York.
Pan Asian Entertainment from 25th March –April 1 will celebrate night and day on the beach and in clubs in a temptation to the senses, from a concert with surprise big name headliners on Saturday night, sporting events, comedy, fashion, a model search, VIP’s to boot and much, much more to keeping even the hardest players busy.
“We have spent eight years building WorldAsia into the leading source for English language, Pan-Asian entertainment staging musical concerts, fashion shows and other events and knew that we were ready to take it to the next level,” explains WorldAsia founder, CEO and president Michael Tsang. “With an emerging critical mass of interest in all things Asian, we felt that now was the time to create WorldAsia Television to celebrate the full breadth of Asian entertainment. And where better to stage the celebration than in one of the most beautiful places on Earth?”
Michael, I’m with you!
