PARIS, Jan 29, 2005 (Updated Jun 26, 2009) / FW/ — A poet and a romantic at heart, Kris Van Assche draws a fine balance between modernism and history as he is constantly inspired by the past but always have one foot forward towards the future.
 Born in Belgium in 1976, Kris Van Assche studied at the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts. He moved to Paris in 1998 and worked as Hedi Slimane’s assistant at Yves Saint Laurent and then at Dior Homme.
