MILAN, Jan 16, 2008 / FW/ — Tallin, the capital city and main seaport of Estonia is the home of Gianfranco Ferré’s latest flagship store. Opening its doors last Monday, Jan 14 to the 401,821 residents inside city limits (505,000 in the metro area), the boutique features women’s and men’s apparel and accessories.

With 150 square meters retail space, the store is divided into two floors – the ground floor is home to the womenswear collection and accessories. Going down the staircase, store guests are led to the men’s section.

Located at Tallin’s Roosikrantsi Street, in a building built during the 1930s, a decade after Estonia gained independence against Soviet Russia and Germany; Gianfranco Ferré’s flagship sits at the heart of Tallin. With three big corner windows, shoppers inside have a great view of the city; while on the other hand; the city can ‘look inside’ the store.

Following the style and architecture of Gianfranco Ferré’s concept stores in Florence, Beirut, Hong Kong, London, Rome and Turin, the Tallin location is unique in the sense that the colors and textures of this new boutique are a refined ‘variation on the theme.’

Light, understated ivory nuances are used in lacquers and polished silks, as well as for velvets and matte marble. Deep, dark bronze and black are the prerogative of the leather and metal accessories, but also echo in the velvets, silks and glossy lacquers.
