NEW YORK, Apr 16, 2008 / FW/ — Swedish workwear brand Dunderdon relocated its New York flagship store to 25 Howard Street off lower Broadway in Soho during the first week of April. On Thursday, April 17th, the label created by carpenter Per-Ivan Hagberg will celebrate the gala opening of its new location.

The Dunderdon store, which was originally in Lafayette Street, moved to Howard Street for a more spacious and airy location. With the store’s interior designed by Dundedon’s menswear design director Carlos Salazar, the label’s Swedish roots were emphasized with the bright, sun-drenched cottage atmosphere. Hand painted pine plank flooring and traditional wainscoting was applied throughout the 1200 square foot space.

The Dunderdon store will feature the full range of men’s and women’s contemporary clothing, along with exclusively offering the full Workwear collection for men. Examples of key Workwear styles are the P7 Per Pant, a convertible carpenter pant featuring nail pockets and knee-pad inserts and the J21 Army Satin jacket made from flame/water resistant Swedish military fabric.

Retail prices will range from $100.00 for the best selling men’s P13 pant, $90.00 for the popular S18 organic cotton Hoody and around $150.00 for light cotton summer dresses for women.

Founded in 1997 by Per-Ivan Hagberg with the mission of creating clothing for modern craftspeople who appreciate superior construction and intelligent clean design, Dunderdon currently operates 3 flagship stores worldwide – Goteborg, Sweden, Copenhagen, Denmark and New York.

The brand is available at over 300 stores worldwide and online at www.dunderdon.com . It is also available at specialty boutiques nationwide such as Penelope’s (Chicago) and Nomad’s (San Francisco).
