DALLAS, Apr 22, 2008 / FW/ — Madonna, the quintessential pop icon is becoming a fashion angel. She declared a few months ago, “she now chooses clothes from internationally successful rising designers” to launch her new look. Milan-based Francesco Scognamiglio (photo left), an Italian emerging designer, is dressing the iconoclastic musical artist in her upcoming video, “Give It To Me”.

Scheduled to be released by the end of April, the video was shot by Tom Munro and styled by Arianne Philips. With a black chiffon blouse from Francesco Scognamiglio’s Fall 2008 / Winter 2009 collection (photo below), the look was refined ostentation, without sacrificing Madonna’s celebrated erotic appeal.

“It was after the Elle USA shoot that also came out on Elle UK, when Madonna contacted me through Arianne Philips, who I have known personally for some time,” Francesco Scognamiglio explained how the contact was made.

The premiere telecast of “Give It To Me” will also mark the release of Madonna’s new single, in anticipation of her new album, Hard Candy in which she collaborates with several international artists such as Pharrell Williams from the Neptunes, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Kanye West.

The “Give It To Me” video is just the beginning of the collaboration between Madonna and Scognamiglio. The iconic pop singer has also asked the Italian designer to produce some exclusive creations for her, but has also planned her clothes for the Croisette at the Cannes Film Festival.
